TCM is all-inclusive when looking at the body, so it can address most any health concern. Among the most popular reasons that people seek out acupuncture are chronic pain, headaches, depression, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders, fertility, and overall wellness.

Each person’s experience is unique. It is important to have open communication with your practitioner. Common sensations are a deep dull ache, warmth, heaviness, an ebbing and flowing, vibrations, and buzzing. If at any point, something is not within your comfort level, you should tell your practitioner and the needle can be adjusted or removed. That goes for other (non-needle) treatment modalities as well. Don’t be afraid to speak up, communication is key!

Consistency is important. This answer will vary on a case by case basis, and is ultimately up to you. A good place to begin is once or twice per week. Most patients start noticing lasting effects within 6-8 consistent treatments.

Upon arrival, you will check in via call/text and your practitioner will greet you in the waiting room. You will then be escorted directly to the private treatment room for the intake process. Treatment goals will be discussed along with a review of body systems. Your vital signs may be checked (temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate), physical examinations or tests may be done, and then your practitioner may perform traditional diagnostics (checking your pulse on both wrists, and taking a look at your tongue). Once you are ready, you can relax on the exam table while your practitioner prepares to initiate the treatment. For more information on each modality offered, please visit the About page. After the treatment is over, your practitioner will give you parting advice. Make sure you drink plenty of water and take it easy the day of treatment.

It’s understandable, life can be unpredictable. You can cancel/reschedule your visit through the online booking portal (or via text/call).
Please give as much notice as possible, so that other patients might be able to take that time slot. For cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, and for a no call/no show, the account on file may be charged the full rate of the planned service, and the session you missed will be forfeit. Call with any questions or concerns.
E-mail will not be an accepted form of cancellation.
If you are running late, please call/text to let your practitioner know. (Not while driving, of course!) Arriving late to an appointment will result in a shorter session. The end time for the planned session will remain the same.
